Employee Mileage Rates for Travelling in your Employment

If you use your own car in the course of your employment then you will usually receive reimbursement from your employer in the form of a mileage rate. The tax office publishes a maximum rate that can be paid without the employee incurring a tax charge, and these cover motor cars, motor bikes and cycles.
